The F3V (Formel-3-Vereinigung e.V. – Formula 3 Association) in Bitburg coordinates all things regarding Formula 3. Since 1975 the F3V has been organising the Int. German Formula 3 Championship in cooperation with the DMSB (Deutsche Motor Sport Bund e.V. – German Motorsport Federation), the ruling body which also advertised the championship. When the Formula 3 championship was no longer advertised in Germany after the 2002 season, the F3V launched the Formula 3 Cup. As ATS Formula 3 Cup the series goes into its fifth season in 2007. And the success of the ATS Formula 3 Cup is impressive. A steadily increasing number of participants, races at the highest sportive level, a high media interest and the attendance of big events guarantee a positive future for the series. The ATS Formula 3 Cup includes all cars built between 2002 and 2008 in the rating. Points for places one to eight in ATS Formula 3 Cup are similar to Formula 1 rating, which is 10-8-6-5-4-3-2-1. Additional points are granted for pole position and fastest lap of the race. Trophy The “ATS Formula 3 Trophy” is intended for racing cars built between 2002 and 2004. Points for places one to eight in ATS Formula 3 Cup are similar to Formula 1 rating, which is 10-8-6-5-4-3-2-1. There are no additional points for pole position or fastest lap. |
