ATS Formel 3 Cup

Der junge Russe Nikolay Martsenko (Dallara F304 Opel) nahm am Auftakt der ATS Formel 3 Cup-Saison 2009 und am Finale derselbigen für Jenichen Motorsport in der Trophy-Wertung teil.
Das finale Wochenende in der Börde stand ganz im Zeichen von dunkelstem Herbstwetter. Die F3-Piloten mussten in ihren offenen Monoposti kalten Dauerregen über sich ergehen lassen und heiße Kämpfe um die Platzierungen durchstehen. Im Dauernass absolvierten die Fahrer ihre Sitzung im Freien Training.

Austria Formula 3 Cup

The Austria-Formula 3 Cup is an international Formula 3 racing car series. The cup’s roots lie in Austria where racing team owner Franz Wöss (Franz Wöss Racing) created this series in 1992 to promote Formula 3. There are races in the German as well as in the Austrian championship. Pilots from all over Europe compete in this championship. By the way, the champion of the 1994 Austria Formula 3 Cup was Austrian driver Alexander Wurz who is now test driver for the McLaren Mercedes team in the Formula 1 World Championship. Pilots from all over the world compete in the Austria Formula 3 Cup races at world-famous racing tracks.
